2022 Acura MDX Overview

Since 2001, Acura’s MDX series has been providing drivers with the ultimate luxury SUV driving experience. The MDX is the best-selling three row luxury SUV of all time, and for good reasons. Skipping the 2021 model, Acura is living up to their reputation with their most advanced luxury SUV yet and is upping their game, perhaps even more than usual. 

The all new Acura MDX is coming early 2021, with an all new super powerful Type S arriving in the summer, The Type S will feature a superb 3.0L turbo V-6 engine producing a stunning estimated 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft 116 of torque.

The MDX is the SUV of the future, and it’s sleek and angular design makes that all the more obvious. It looks rugged and powerful yet doesn’t sacrifice agility or sleekness in its design. It comes equipped with wide-set Chicane™ LED taillights and dual exhaust outlets that really give it the look of an advanced and futuristic driving machine. The three-dimensional Diamond Pentagon grille is the perfect finishing touch for the vehicle’s body.

The interior of the MDX is equally impressive. The leather trimmed seats are of top quality and are the ultimate compliment to the vehicle’s exterior design. The cabin is a perfect fit for anyone willing to get behind the wheel of this impressive vessel. The rear subframe as well as the independent rear suspension have been completely revamped. Additionally, the front damper houses are made of aluminum making the vehicle more capable overall.

In 2021, the MDX introduces an all-new 10-speed transmission; this means faster acceleration. The Type S will be by far the most powerful Acura ever, featuring all-wheel drive that allows 70% of the engine’s torque to reach the rear wheels, as well as a rear-mounted battery which will improve handling and balance overall.
